LANDSCAPE PROCESS AND RATES

Your Initial Consultation

All of our work is customized to your unique lifestyle and environment, that’s why every project we do begins with an in-person consultation.

​

This crucial first step lets us meet face-of-face, view your property live, and gather important information about the project such as:

​

  • Your vision and landscaping goals

  • Site conditions

  • Opportunities/constraints of the site

 

After we meet, talk and discuss your vision and goals, we’ll both know if we’re a fit to work together on your project, and what services will be involved (e.g. design, installation and/or maintenance).

​

Seattle-based garden consultations are a minimum of 2 hours, but vary depending on the size and complexity of your garden space and project goals.  That's one hour of research, communications and travel time and one hour of on-site consultation. We encourage you to take the notes that you need during our consult time.  We usually bring some resources and we'll send an email afterwards with the information we found relevant. You can also add coaching sessions with us, at the same hourly rate below.

COST: $95 per hour (min. 2 hours)

Your Design

If you decide we’re a great fit for your project, the first thing we’ll decide is the scope of the project and the type of design that is going to serve you best. If no design is needed, then we just skip to Step 3. 

 

If design is needed, then we:

  1. Schedule site analysis day(s) where we view your site and gather information about its conditions (e.g. sunlight, soil, wind, etc.)

  2. Create a planting plan as well as a plant list

  3. Have a Design Review Meeting to review items 1 and 2

  4. Schedule a time to begin the installation project (either in phases or entirely)

  5. COST: Depending on your goals and the complexity of the work site, rates are as follows:

INTEGRATED (PERMACULTURE) DESIGN

  • Typical Seattle full lot (~5,000 sq. ft.): $3,500

  • Typical Seattle half lot: $2,500

​

STANDARD LANDSCAPE DESIGN

  • Typical Seattle full lot (~5,000 sq. ft.): $2,500

  • Typical Seattle half lot: $1,500

  • These fees can be scaled up for larger projects and down some for smaller designs.

COST: $80 per hour

Your Installation

After the final design is approved and you’re ready to see your new garden come to life, we’ll create an estimate for the required materials as well as the labor needed for us to complete your transformational garden work (hardscapes, construction of garden structures, plant removal, soil preparation/mulching, planting, pruning, etc.).

COST: If Oasis Edible Naturescapes completes your full design and installation the initial consultation and estimate time will be deducted from your final installation cost. Cost of projects varies depending upon goals, materials, and scale of project (1/2 yard or full yard).  Typical range for a 1/2 yard Seattle-sized lot, including design, estimate and installation is around $3,000 to $5,000. 

Garden Packages

We also offer seasonally-focused garden packages designed to introduce you to specific aspects of what we do! Our current packages are:

Soil Builder

​Includes:

  • ​2 Gardeners for a full 6 hour day + cleanup

  • 2.5 cubic yards of arborist chip mulch delivered by OEN

  • Weeding and pruning as time allows

Mulch deters weeds; helps retain moisture; feeds beneficial soil organisms and, in turn, our plants; and assists in protecting soil from erosion. This is an ideal time to mulch paths and/or planted bed spaces with Arborist wood chips.

Additional yards of mulch, cardboard underlayment, design, and/or planting may be added to this package.

  • $775 incl. tax

Petite Renovation

​Includes:

  • ​6 hours of design and consultation work

  • 10 - 1 gallon or smaller plant specimens

  • 1 yard waste haul-away

  • 2 yds arborist chips

  • 2 Gardeners for a full 6 hour day + cleanup

If your garden is overgrown, or you just want something more, we have a quick way to regenerate that space!

Additional yards of mulch, cardboard underlayment, design, and/or planting may be added to this package.

  • $1500 incl. tax

Your Maintenance

We offer regular maintenance at at a variety of intervals from weekly to annually at the following hourly rates*:

 

  • Basic gardening/installation (e.g. weeding, thinning): $45/hr**

  • Garden coaching (individual): $95/hr**

    • Small group pricing coming soon!

  • Steep slope work: $55/hr

  • Permaculture Education: See Events Page - Prices vary

    • Adults (classes/workshops)

    • Kids (classes, day camps)

 

*Due to high demand, we have limited openings for monthly maintenance.  These spaces are typically reserved for existing design/install customers.

**There is a 4hr. minimum for maintenance visits and a 2.5-hr. minimum for garden coaching, both of which include travel time.
